Write a scene in which your character realises the magical abilities of their time-traveleing object

“5 years before the war”

At this time slavery was at it’s hardest. Oxyfay had cuts and bruises all over body from the hard work and abuse that the trolls did to her and her clan. She always tried to help with the children, the elderly and the wounded. If they couldn’t complete their job with full success, she would move faster through her’s and help them with their heavy task. If the trolls found out that she helped, they would beat her, pluck strand by strand off her wings, or tie her wings together and throw her in the dungeons.

This time, when she made it to the dungeon, she had successfully untied her wings in time to catch herself before smashing into the cement floor. Oxyfay was usually held in the dungeon for 5 hours at a time. So she sat down and started to try and smooth out her bark, by using broken cement at rubbing her body with it. The stone she grabbed this time was a smooth pebble. She thought it would further smooth her wounds, as she lightly smoothed out the nicks in her bark, the stone started to light up and vibrate. Oxyfay threw it with all her might across the dungeon. It never landed or never made a sound.

After a few moments, Oxyfay realized that the pebble never made a noise when it landed, she went towards the area where it roughly should've landed. As she headed towards it, she heard the sound of a slight buzz. “It’s in mid air?” Oxyfay exclaimed out loud. The pebble flew straight at her, all its pieces began to separate and stab at her. “Argh” Oxyfay whimpered. SHe laid there, slowly bleeding. Her sap swallowing the pebble. After some time, the pebble soon collected it’s pieces and began to become whole again. It still glowed. The pebble then exploded again but instead of getting back together it formed a massive purple portal.

“Now”

Oxyfay played with the pebble in her hands. She hasn’t touched this stone since that time in the dungeon, put she did keep it, thinking it might help in the future.”
