Can I ask you a question?

Yes you, the reader, may I?

Thank you

What do you want most in the world?

This could be an object, person, career path etc.

Anything

Wow, that's interesting

You haven't come to a conclusion

And if you have you're either naive or lying

Not even I, this ethereal being

who will now forever live on this post

Immortal even

Understands what they want

Maybe no one does

But if that's the case

What kind of world do we live in?

Where not one person knows what purpose is
