The ribbons in your hair remind me of the Highlands, my love,
The ice blue strips capture your eyes,
Whilst the green fabric matches that of my own,
Much like the meeting of land and sky, up in the Highlands.
The bouncing of your kilt as you dance remind me of the Highlands, my love,
Signifying your love for me in it's patterns and colours,
Ever changing, ever flowing, ever beautiful,
Much like the wind and rain coming over the Highlands.
The honey in your voice remind me of the Highlands, my love,
Soft and gentle, yet commanding of everyone's attention,
Cleansing my soul of all wrong doing,
Much like the green meadows of the Highlands.
Without you, my love, I could not breathe
Without you, my love, I could not eat
Without you, my love, I could not sleep
Living without you, would be like living without the Highlands.
