Emily's Poem #5 - "The Roads We Walk"

The roads we walk are made of tarmac
Smooth, straight forward and easy to navigate
These take us far and wide
With no end in sight
The roads we walk are made of gravel
Crumbling, dispersible and easy to destroy
These take us far
With no end in sight
The roads we walk are made of dirt
Uneven, dirty and hidden out of sight
These take us away
With no end in sight
We all have our own roads
Each with it's own material
Life span, and destination
But they do not define us
Do not forget:
We can pave our own roads
It just requires some imagination
And a lot of elbow grease
